"U.S. President Joe Biden will attend a fundraising event for his re-election campaign in March alongside former Presidents Barack Obama and Bill Clinton, an event that the campaign hopes will energize Democrats and boost fundraising.
"Friends, I'll be in NYC on March 28 to support Joe Biden. Who's coming with me?" said Obama on the X platform.
"Count me in," responded Bill Clinton.
The fundraising event with the three Democratic presidents will take place in New York on March 28.
Clinton and Obama remain popular among Democrats, and Biden's approval ratings after the third year of his presidency are lower than those of the former presidents at this same point in their terms.
Obama had also raised questions about Biden's re-election campaign structure, discussing the matter directly with him, according to early reports this year.
In recent months, Biden's team has faced increasing calls to be more active and aggressive in emphasizing the contrast with Donald Trump, an approach that Biden has embraced.
Trump is consolidating his position to secure the Republican presidential nomination after consecutive victories in Iowa and New Hampshire.
Biden, 81, and Trump, 77, began the election year in a dead heat, with many Americans seemingly unenthusiastic about their options, according to a Reuters/Ipsos poll published in early January."
